Appalachian Impact’s Youth Entrepreneur Programs: Youth Powered. Future Focused.

Hands-On Experience, Lifelong Success.

Building Skills

Youth are building skills with actual hands-on experiences. They’re seeing the direct result of the work they do and gaining confidence in themselves.

Forming Relationships

The time we spend with our youth and their families is about more than just the month they spend working with us. It’s about making connections and forming relationships that go beyond the program.

Providing HOPE

At the core of everything we do, we strive to bring hope and opportunity to families in our community. By investing in our youth, we’re building hope for our future one child at a time.

The Coffee Spot

The Coffee Spot is a youth-managed coffee area located inside of our Appalachian Impact building at 64 E Main St. The station is cleaned, stocked and inventoried by the monthly youth manager, and the profit made for that month is split with them. Managers are expected to help with marketing, bring in fresh ideas and inventory, and keep the station running smoothly. This opportunity provides youth the freedom to explore the world of business.

Kids Cut With Cody

Sponsored by Emory Electric, youth in this program spend time with mentor and Emory Electric owner, Cody Luterek. He works with them to discuss the importance of hard work and making your community a better place. Youth will experience hands-on life skills like mowing, weedeating, landscaping, and using tools. Youth earn a paycheck for every job they complete. The experience and mentorship goes beyond the job. It’s about forming relationships and investing in our future.
